This Community Medical Center in the Greater Apple Valley / San Bernardino Area is actively interviewing for an Emergency Department Nursing Manager to oversee clinical operations in a busy service line.
This person will join an outstanding hospital that's served the community for over 50 years and is regularly recognized as one of the best in this health system.
Offering a wide range of specialty and general care, as well as some cutting-edge procedures, this medical center and community clinic network provides compassionate total care.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the ED Nursing Manager will oversee clinical and administrative operations for a full range of Emergency Personnel in a 15-bed Emergency Department that sees over 20K visits annually.
Supporting the Manager are two CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) and TNCC certified Shift Supervisors, as well as an incredible and tenured team of Emergency Services Charge RNs.
As a clinical leader, you'll oversee a strong staff of Emergency Registered Nurses, Triage and Admitting Nurses, Emergency Techs, and support staff.
The Emergency Department Nursing Manager will:
Drive performance and skill improvement among the staff through regular skill assessments, workflow evaluations, and execution of LEAN techniques.
Will serve as a mentor and role model for the nursing staff, displaying grace under pressure and helping young nurses define career paths.
The ED Manager provide opportunities for the staff to grow and learn by sponsoring/supporting educational development in collaboration with the hospital's inpatient Emergency Services Educator.
Administratively, the ED Nursing Manager will help control the budget and fiscal performance for the Emergency Department.
You'll take center stage in evaluating staff competencies, addressing skill gaps, and working with the necessary business partners to make sure Emergency Services is running smoothly.
